what part# for f-body ls6 intake when ordering a ls6 intake for my 99 SS what part # should I get. Do I look up one for a 01 ls6 vette? or should I use a 01 fbody Z. Heard the vette version has problems with throttle linkage. Is a 01 Z28 intake have the same performance? Is it a direct replacement on my traction control equipped 99? Thanks in advance for any info you guys might have.

Re: what part# for f-body ls6 intake the vette part # is 88890524 which has be superceeded to 88890523 which is the f-car manifold, but as you may know this number has been superceeded by GM but i don't have that new number handy with me right now

Re: what part# for f-body ls6 intake what i am trying to get at is i am going to order this manifold. I will be getting it through a gm dealer. I am looking to give the parts guy a number to order that I know will both give the the performance gain and be a direct fit. I hear that if I tell them to order me one for a 01 vette ls6 my throttle will not work. However will ordering the factory replacement for an 01 z28 fit my needs? Is it al least from a performance standpoint the same as a ls6 manifold?

As Jay stated, those part numbers were superceeded by part# 88894339. GM was supposed to get these in by mid Dec. Well, guess what, they are now saying hopefully early February.
