Default Idle speed for M6s
What should a M6 with a stock cam idle at? Mine seems to idle at 1000-1100rpm, and I was wondering if that was normal.

Hmm...mine idled there when it was really cold...but ususally idles 850-900

mine Idles right around 800, hot or cold. It always has.

Mine idle's at 850rpm, you might check your throttle cable adjustment it might be to tight and not setting all the way down on the idle stop.

Mine is around 875 according to the Autometer tach I have.

Ryan. did you get the idle info from a A-Tap . if not you really can't go by that the tach says. mine was off by 300 rpm's to the high side. I would use an A-Tap to confirm that the RPM's are high

Stock idle is 800 RPM mine would show 1000 RPM but my tach is 200 RPM off. Don't sweat it, it's not a big deal. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

mine shows about 1000 but according to autotap its right at about 800....
