Default Check out what I found about my PCV pipe...

You know the pipe from the PCV valve that runs along the back to the other valve cover.

Well while building my engine and installing stuff I noticed the rubber type gromets that connect the pipe to the PCV and the pipes together. It was all mushy like and I was like wth. So I looked at it closely and noticed this is not normal. So I took it off and pulled on it and it just tore. I tore it open to look at the inside of the rubber gromet and noticed it was like melted or something. It basically just closed up the rubber connecters. So it was defeating its purpose.

Just thought you guys might like to know. Who knows, could be a problem for the PCV system.

Just check your gromets and if they are real soft and mushy then it has the same problem. I just had to buy the whole new piping system! $75.00!!!!

Thanks for the heads-up. I'm a cheapskate, so I'll use silicone RTV to seal it if/when the grommets give up the ghost.

Its not a seal. Its hard to explain. The gromet that connects the 2 pipes together. The inside of the gromet was melted and blocking it off. It basically melted into a solid gromet, thus it wasnt doing its job.
