Hi, I want to put this custom grind cam into my 99 LS1 TA. I'm going to use my stock heads, but i'm putting the LS6 springs using my stock rockers. What length should I get for this cam using my stock heads? What kind of hp at the wheels can get out of this cam& ls6 springs? Heres the specs for the cam:Grind Number# HR-279-CSB

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you get the thunder racing 224/224-114 cam and go with 918 springs. It's such a proven cam, and very close to what you have already. As for pusrods, some ppl like to use 7.425 pusrods to make up for the smaller base circle of a aftermarket cam. Good luck with whatever you do.

Aftermarket base circles vary with the lobes. A .55x is not as small as .580 or .6xx.
7.400 aftermarket are what I would run.
02/03/04 LS6 springs are good to .580 lifts
