Default Shim kit

I have the comp hammer cam and I was wondering what is a shim kit and do I need one for the install?I already have after market heads and cam springs retainers etc...Do I need this kit?Thanks.

I dont know of any shims except to make the cars
idle a bit better by placing the shim under the
idle set screw size = .022 or so..
That is the only shim that I have heard of

I think you might be talking about rocker shims. I don't think you will need them, but I am not sure. I think that they are used instead of getting new pushrods. But if you have the right length pushrods you should not need them. Hopefully someone who knows a little more can help explain this.
