I plan on puishing around 450 RWHP
The Tr6's come pregapped at .035 or something like that. If you see a cardboard wrap around the tip, the plug is already pre gapped.

Will it make more HP...in the long run and on back to back testing, most definitely. Are there better alternatives out there. why certainly! The post above this provides a suggestion.

I use the TR-6's but I spray once in a while too. I drove around with not spaying for a month once and when I changed out the plugs the TR-6's looked just like the TR-55 I saved from before I had nitrous.

I would say for all motor ~.045 gap would be a good starting point.
I would have to agree here, My car started cracking the porcelin on TR55s, I am using TR6s now with no trouble.

-NGK's site said you should reduce the gap (about .004" for every 50 hp you add). I believe the stock gap is .060 so that'd be .052.

Good advice......

instead of tuner you should probably ask a reputable engine builder in your area what he has used on his LS1 motors on his engine dyno.

I would go TR55's, the TR6 is a pretty cold plug and really isn't needed unless your supercharged or juiced.

I just changed plugs and wires(a real bitch)I'm using the ngk iridiums...I left them at what they were pre-gapped at...Hope this works....been in there for 2 weeks, I can tell a diff in the idle and overall sound of the car..I started to gap the first plug, and my buddy had to remind me that these were iridium plugs and not the tr55's or 6's...

What are you basing that on? Take a look at the links in my previous post. With more compression, you have more heat in the combustion chamber so that alone will warrant a colder plug.

TR55s are fine with what you have. Read the plugs and go colder if needed.

there has been no mention of how much compression your running, what cc chambers will be on your heads and final CR. that will have a big impact on what plug to run

TR55 because with my bolt on set up the TR6's cost ~3-4rwhp over the TR55's. That was my dyno result. Car also idled better with TR55's.

i would run a tr6 just in case you decide to go to a n20 system later.
