can you FEEL "engine ping"?
can you FEEL "engine ping"? When I has it, as the RPM's launch, I sometimes feel a little studder like feeling.
This is only at WOT.
I have just installed a T1 cam/LS6 intake and ported out the throttle body.
How can I tell if I am rich or lean without auto tap?
The car does smell somewhat gassy sometimes as well but there is no black smoke.

The only other way i know of without ATAP is to maybe look in your exhaust tips right after a hard run and if the inside of the exhaust tip is wet chances are you are running rich. HOWEVER, this is not always very accurate, because water sometimes comes out of the exhaust, the best way is with ATAP or some other diagnostic tool.

Generally you can hear the pinging, although with a really loud exhaust you might not.

Re: can you FEEL "engine ping"? YOu can hear pinging... In this one car I drove, I could make it happen by practically coasting in 3rd or 4th, and then gradually rolling into the throttle... tling tling tling.
