Okay, here's the problem:

I need the rev limiter to be 7000 or 7200 as my engine has been built to take it and to get the power out of it, I gotta be up around 6600-6700 for shifts.

Problem is that Superchips has for 4 times now not been able to get the rev limiter to raise any at all. First few times we just tried 7000 and this last time we tried 7800 just to see if there was some error in the PCM, still nada.

As an extreme outside shot we replaced the upper chip on the MSD window switch for the nitrous just to see if something was feeding back into the PCM and still nada. Car just rev's up to 6200 and bingo, ya got rev limiter.

ANYONE!!?? This is driving us insane and Superchips is not able to correct it yet. There are a lot of things missing on this car now due to the TH350 swap and 12 bolt, but that should not effect the rev limiter that I am aware of, but who the heck knows, something is!

Help me please - I was supposed to go testing friday and this is now just another wasted week......

FYI: Just wanted to add that the TH350 from Yank came with the pcm tricker - anyone have any issues with this or think this could be the culprit??

are you running around w/ any codes set?

Namely anything to do w/ the VSS?

Local guy here had the same problem, no speed input before the interface box for the TH400.

The limiter was right until the code for no speed sensor set, then it was back down to 6200. There is a second limiter when a code is set. I bet they missed that one.

Also, there is a limiter for every gear. LS1-Edit has them there <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

i bet they missed one or more of those.

Was the car an auto or manual before?

Car was an A4 before. I'll check with them on the VSS settings. If it's that I will be so pissed as this has been a problem for 4 controller changes now - about 4 months. It only became apparent when the TH350 was installed or maybe it happened then, just don't know. Very frustrating though as I can't do any testing until it's fixed - absolutely useless to go to the track when the rev limiter is set incorrectly.

Here's your problem... The PCM tricker from Yank makes the PCM believe the tranny is in neutral. Your rev limiter in neutral is totally separate, and needs to be changed as well.

Unplug the PCM tricker and see for yourself.

I went through the same thing a long time ago.

They did not have the neutral or park settings at 7000, only stock 6250. They are correcting the error and sending me out a microtuner today!

Thanks guys for your help as that was the fix!!

I ran a 6.53 in the 1/8 mile last night with a 1.44 60'.

We're gonna tweak on it a bit this week and T&T all day the 20th at the 1/4 mile.
