Rev limiter
How often do you guys bounce off rev limiter? When you're doing free revs, doing burnouts, racing, etc...
I try not to do it at all but it sounds so damn sweet!

I hit it twice when the wheels started spinning in first which was pretty uncharacteristic of them and it caught me by surprise and I missed a shift once.
I just love the way cars sound when they bounce off rev limiter.
My buddy does it in his SRT4 and the sounds that are made when doing it are just ear orgasmic.

Your buddy's car isnt long for this world, and neither will yours be if you keep these antics up. In my opinion the rev limiter sounds like an engines shrieking death cry as it toils in agony. Its also the sound that triggers the rest of your buddies to make fun of you for the next week for missing a shift.

When people intentionally make their car hit the rev-limiter I immediately think they are a dumbass. It's there to save your engine from destroying itself. Everyone hits it at some point, and I wouldnt worry about that, but doing it on purpose is just not smart or good.

I think hitting the rev limiter sounds like nails on a chalk board.

Can come one explaing what it sounds like to bounce off the limiter? I might of shifted after 5,500 RPM on my stock tach. I just hard a loud backfire(pop) and shifted. My exhaust is a cut out.

I hit it once on my Z06. That thing just revs so fast. Hit it right as I was shifting. It is bad for the engine to bounce off the limiter. Not as bad as floating the valves, but not good. I have never hit it on my Trans Am.
