Default Fuel rails

What are the fuel rails made of? Stainless?

Does anyone know where to find some end caps that have AN thread apdapters on them for the tubes?(kinda like the stock schrader valve cap on the end of the driverside rail)

I was going to modify a stock rail myself with compression fittings but, I want a little cleaner looking rail.

Thanks.

Johnnie

I believe, based on my mods to the fuel rail, that mild steel tubing is used. Confirm this by checking with a magnet.

It's actaully stainless.

some stainless is magnetic

aeroquip makes braze on fittings in steel for just such a thing.

unfortunately the only one they make that fits the rail is -10 AN. I don't mind big lines though

aeroquip P/N FCM2875, summit carries them

happy brazing

You can get custom billet rails from www.ls1speed.com. Already threaded.

you can also use Aeromotive billet rails from a 5.0 mustang

It seems the injector angle and spacing are the same, based on the tech line at Aeromotive and personal experimentation You'd need to make the mounts though.

Thanks everyone

John - I traded emails with Tom already and they're just not quite right for what I'm looking for.

Thanks

Harlan, you'll have mail shortly.
