Default Heads, Cam, or Long Tubes

Just wanted to know whats the sequence. What gives the most HP/ET reduction first, second and third. My reason for asking is I have read of LS1 turning high 11's with stock manifolds. Any input will be appreciated.

Personally I would choose the headers first.

You will get good boost from the long tubes and when you do finally do the cam/heads. The headers will allow the motor to breathe enough to see a substantial gain from the cam-heads.

Thats my 2 cents.

I agree with John. Long-tubes. You'll love the sound too.

If your doing it yourself, do heads and cam 1st. You can always add headers later and you'll gain around 50 or more hp with h/c. Good luck!

Yes!!! I agree...Choose your headers after your absolute mods. Headers design is not science, it's an art! Have fun!

I'd do the heads and cam first. Get everything internal done at the same time and than you could always add on the headers. This is at least what every tuner has told me. Personally I have about $5,300 that I'm looking to spend and every tuner I've talked to has told me that I should do the heads and cam first than get the headers done later.

I'd do heads and cam at the same time. It will save you on labor having the engine apart and just doing it all at once. But I would do headers first.
