The Final Combination; 414" Solid Roller
Well, It looks like a good thing I didn't pick up that rotating assembly from John, no hard feelings.
Looks like the combination is all worked out though:
6.0L block bored .060
Lunati 4.00" stroke crank
Diamond Custom Pistons, Valve Reliefs, Shallow Dish ( 11.7-11.8:1 CR)
ARE Stage 3 heads reworked by Flow-Tech (local)
Lentz 6.125 connecting rods, Bushed floating pin
Thunder 248/248 113lsa .630 lift sollid roller Cam
Crane Lifters
T&D Shaft mount Rocker arms
C5R Valve Covers (I have spacers just in case)
Holley intake manifold
Lucas 38lb injectors
Roll-Mast double roller timing chain
ATI Super Dampener
1 7/8th Long tube headers (QTP or Thunder)
Ported/Shimmed oil pump
Tranny is going to either be a Manual 4L60e or a TH400 (still working on that)
So, sound like fun?
I am hoping for a solid 10.5-10.8 on the motor.
What do you guys think?

Sounds like a killer setup, time for some tire roasting. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Two comments:
1) You can go bigger on the cam still. Trust me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
2) On the Holley intake, I have not seen anyone post flow increase results as a result of porting it to match the heads? Maybe they are out there, but I have not seen them yet. Maybe a custom sheet metal intake??

Definately go w/ a bigger cam. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> You know you'll want to later if you don't.
As far as the cam goes, Whats a few degrees between friends? Seriously, this is the same cam profile that Shane (XtraCajunSS) turned 523RWPH out of. His Dyno Graph
So, I don't think it will be that big of a slouch. The cam should be pretty tame as far as driving the car around.
As far as the intake goes, if somebody wants to sell me a sheet metal FMS intake for say, $550. Then I'll buy it! But the ability to port match the intake runners and a few other perks, for under $2K.... Holley it is.

10.50 on the motor.?Maybe if you pull me down the track at the same time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> That thing should make enough power to put a light car well into the 9s.
I can shift faster than you.

Ryan, we have a 254/.651 lobe if you want to "upgrade". <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[evil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
Or, better yet, ship the heads down here, we'll flow them, and then pick a cam out that best matches the heads.

Thanks every one for the encouragging thoughts! I think I'll stay with the cam for a little while.
As far as a light car goes, I am trying. But I am keeping the AC and power rack. Its still a fully optioned car. I did drop in a nice light weight K-member and A-arms to help counter the Iron Block...
We'll see!

AWESOME SET UP NO DOUBT! YOU will be all
s with this combo.
I say with the right converter match and gears, you will see 10.0 all day long! I get my MTI 427 6.0 liter 4.060 overbore and 4.125 crank motor back from MTI in my C5 in about 1 month. I am going with the battle tested MTI S1 hyd. cam and expect high 10s with that set up and around 480rwhp thru my A4 I AM PUMPED!!!! If i went solid roller i know i could shave a solid .5 off of those ets but i had to draw the line some where with my budget, etc. and since the car will see the street more than the track.
GOOD LUCK!
