How would a b1 cam compare to a cam with specs: 218/218 .528/.528 114

My opinion with driveability it has more to do with LSA rather than lift and duration.

I think you will see about 7rwhp more with the B1 through the band. Go with the B1 cause it is proven to work with heads later on donw the road.

I have the 218/218 .563 114LSA in my car. Idles great at around 750rpms with TB hole drilled and idle set screw raised. The lower duration than the B1 cam will ensure that you will pass emmissions. I know the B1 will probably also pass but there are less worries with a 218 intake duration.

Also keep in mind that you have to use totally different valve springs for both those cams. The cam you specd out could be run with the LS6 springs but you'd need something stiffer with the B1.
