Timing Advance on my 2002 sucks! Help!!!!
Autotap'd my 2002 last night. With a lid and stock maf I was getting about 19 degree's on average @ WOT, and no Knock retard. O2's were .940 to .960
I put a ported MAF on the car and got about 21 degrees on average @ WOT. But I averaged about 1.9 deegree's KR with the ported MAF, and the car was running very lean! O2's were .820 to .840
What cam I do to get my timing into the 25+ range at WOT without KR and running too lean?
I run 88.x/89 at WOT with OEM MAF, Lid, 0 KR
My ’00 WS6 got 27.5 degrees of advance with a totally stock MAF at WOT before custom tuning.
What octane gas are you using? 19 degrees sounds low even on an '01/'02. At what RPM's are you taking this measurement?

What are you getting in the 5000 and up range? What about just before the upshift?

Will do thanks..
Do you think taking the MAF screen out of the stock maf would help??

Don't **** with the MAF. Wrong time to do experiments. No real reason to change it for what you have anyway. Figure out timeing issue first. don't forget warranty/dealer too.
