Why would you want to retard the cam 2 degrees? The CompCams have 4 degree advance ground in and I am guessing they know what they are doing. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

I think the compcams have 4 degrees advance ground in to make up for the slack in the stock timing chain. So if you install the Cloyes timing chain and degree it properly it will remain like that.
