Unhappy think another valve spring broke again

i was cruising in 6th @70 mph when the ses started flashing. brought it home to pull the codes and up popped a P0300. guess it's time to throw in my prc duals.

btw, i run manley singles currently. they have ~20k miles on them.

Don't jump to conclusions and decide you've broken a spring. P0300 is the generic DTC for engine misfire. The PCM knows a cylinder is misfiring, but it can't figure out which one it is or you would get a more specific code like P0304 for cylinder #4. P0300 could be cause by many things. You need to go to the GM shop manual and look up the P0300 DTC and follow the precedure step by step to get to the problem. The first few steps are redundant so you can skip them most of the time and start doing the things that will help you find the real problem by process of elimination. P0300 usually pops up after you install a lopy cam that causes rough idle especially during cold starts.

yeah i guess you cant go wrong with prc duals..i little much for a gt2-3 but then again its extra insurance if one breaks, which i highly doubt will happen..
seems like you got some good miles out of the manleys at least

That sucks. I used the LS6 springs with mine and never had a problem in over 15K miles with the GT2-3. I have the PRC's now with the new cam though They are nice spings.

I had heard from time to time that Manley springs weren't all that great...that's kinda crazy to see that on a cam with lazy lobes like the GT2-3.
