I looked but to no avail. I didn't see anything on the upgraded pump. Maybe I'm retarded but if u know the price just help a brotha out.

Re: which year had the best oil pump?? i have 59,000 miles on my abused 1998. i veat the crap out of it and have NEVER had a problem with oil pressure <knock on wood> i mostly use M1 5-30. but at times ive used dino and Royal purple. for what its worth, the previous owner (a family member) used a synth/dino blend from QS for 26000 miles.

Re: which year had the best oil pump?? 1dirtyz, ive read that casting flash breaks off in pump causing regulator to stick, and thats the problem. If thats so it would be a matter of deburring dissassembled pump and maybe shim spring lightly. Find an old pump and see if that looks valid, than go ahead and do it.
