Default Help with cam selection.

I guess first I should apologize, I know theres probably 500 of these type of posts everyday. But idiots like me gotta learn some where. yesterday, I posted asking about the hotcam. I got to thnking that I've never really even considered any other cam. I was looking at MTI's A1 and B1 cams. I know nothing about cams. My car is daily driver, A4, sees a good amount of miles etc. I need it to last and be dependable. Also to pass emissions. So basically what Im looking for in a cam is:
To be dependable and not blow stuff up.
Sound cool <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
Allow me to pass texas emissions (Im running high flow cats)
Give me a little more power, and not be a major pain in the @ss!
Any suggestions, help, whatever would be great! Im looking at the A1,B1, and hotcam right now, so any extended info on those would be cool too. And I was also looking that the hotcam has a lobe sep. of 112, and the MTI of 114, what does that change? (You see, Im a schmuck)
Thanks!
Ryan
