What is the price on these? Any power numbers? Could be vaporware like the old Edlebrock LT1 intakes. Later

Somebody posted a pic on LS1.com a few days ago and this intake looks great. I'm wondering how it will compare (flow wise) with the LS6. I'm assuming the composite intakes are going to have the advantage when it comes to inlet temps.

Well, the main benefit is that you can port the intake to match any head porting!! Here is a link to the pic: https://ls1tech.com/holleyintake/holleynews.htm

Thats pretty convincing and a nice pic. Im wondering if it will make power on a ls6. Because it says it will make power on an ls1 based on the ls6 manifold.

Thats cool, im curious to how well it will turn out.
Im not worried about price, i just want to know if it would add more power than ls6.

It will not gain any power over the LS6 manifold. It is a direct casting of it in fact.
The gains are that you can supercool it at the track, and that you can port it as well. Plus there's some tricks like extrude honing and all that crap.

My mechanic told me the same thing the other day so I might just stick with my ls6.Big intake, big cam, smaller heads, small maf, etc... everything on a car should try to be in proportion. Its all about the combination and I am finally starting to realize this.

Price will be inline with the LS-6, around $450, designed by Lingenfelter, as-is flow is slightly better than ls-6, due to material difference, but will obviously be better due to port-ability and colling ability.
According to the lady at Holley, I ordered the 2nd one, and they will ship after dyno and port testing, sometime mid-February.
Hope I helped a little!

Would the aluminum hold in alot of heat which will cause a significant loss of power after a couple hrs of driving?

I agree. air charge is critical. My temp readings on alum vs composite intakes is prettymuch the same UNLESS ram air,ect is used. then you would see a difference. composite would cool qwicker Just mt .02 <img src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" border="0" alt="[chug]" />
