What's the part no. for the LS4 oil pump and the LS2 timing chain? How do you know it flows more- is it higher pressure or higher volume?

Will the oil pump fit on the LS1/LS2 block without modification?

Where was a LS4 pump tested to flow more than a stock LS1/LS6 pump?

Don't have the PNs on me... it's a higher volume pump... it's needed to drive the displacement on demand of the new 5.3. My buddy Joe C (HPADDICT) just put one in when doing his LPE blower cam in prep for his blower on his '99 FRC.

The car has more pressure everywhere... this will be esp. good for me w/ my oil cooler and running higher oil temps at HPDEs. The higher volume pump will keep pressure up even as the oil heats up and thins out.

Thats correct. $139.94 and never failed in all C5-R racing and durability testing.

Can anyone confirm that the LS4 pump will fit an LS1 without requiring any modifications?

I know everyone wants a "bigger" (higher pressure and/or volume) oil pump, but is there any evidence that is necessary? Are LSx engines prone to bearing or other failures due to inadequate oil supply?

What do the endurance road race guys run?
