Default Hotcam Gains

How much can I expect to gain (RWHP wise) with a hotcam?

With a cutout and a ported MAF only, I got 20-rwhp/20-rwtq.

well with the simply motor mods in my sig, i pulled 365 SAE RWHP and 357 RWTQ. i was more than happy with mine and made this on totally stock tuning. tuning would help with a/f ratio. also little things like pulleys and ported TB would push me into the 375 RWHP area i believe.

i think we are talking about LS1 hotcams. the LT-1 hotcam reacts nicely to stock heads as well.

most people dog on the hotcam because they dont have headers. you NEED headers on the cammed car or you will sorely be disapointed.

well there is actually nothing wrong with your TNT power (you are my idol!), but with the hotcam, i was pleasently surprised, but with a conservative exhaust (cutout way out back and smaller y-pipe it makes good power). i might also be lucky, but i am happy. i have seen many 350 RWHP but i am shooting for the 375 range or better with tuning. my previous dyno with mild bolt ons was only 315 RWHP. i made big gains with the header and cam combo!

I don't think there's anything wrong with your car. My dyno with ASP pullies, hotcam, cutout and a ported MAF is currently 337hp/331tq - on stock heads and manifold. I'm expecting a little more out of headers because of the cam, maybe a 30-hp gain. I just got confirmation that my 1 7/8 Grots & ORP are shipping from ARE this week, and I have an LS6 intake on the shelf at home awaiting some dyno tuning (and removal of the blasted EGR). I think 400-rwhp is very possible with this setup. After all that, I'll be happy if I make it to 390... realizing that torque is the real tale of the tape on the street anyway. And I'm sure there's more improvement to be had when I go in to do a set of Stage II heads...

Not necessarily.
Most people see most of the gain from a cam if they have headers. When you add headers, you will see far more of a gain than if you didnt have the cam. The Header/cam combo in these cars is the huge leap rather than the individual parts.
After those two, the z06 intake is another bolt on 10+ hp.

I think the Hot cam isn't the best match for an NA car, but I've seen several make crazy power with the Hot cam matched up with some N2O.
