Nice numbers! I'd be very interested to see what it runs once you've got the tuning ironed out and other mods finished.
Now can't we all just get along???

Damn this thread could use some cleaning up. Personnal attacks, flames, potty-mouths.
Can you guys PLEASE keep this 7u<k1n $h!7 (oops, now I'm a potty-mouth too!) out of our fine tech sections? In fact, keep it outa here completely.
Pretty please with 30 weight on top?
<hr></blockquote>
As usual I keep my arguments on a non-personal level, and people initiate personal attacks against me. I don't have a problem with it, but don't accuse me of making personal attacks, because it's just not true (aside from the whole JS-literacy thing, but I've been trying to avoid that <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

[quote] Joe knows this setup is more radical than my old setup.Actually t\Terry,evertyone knows that.I'm not comparing the 2 setups.<hr></blockquote>
[quote]
New CARTEK setup 432/388
Old JPR setup 375/355
Thats an improvemnt of 57RWHP,33RWTQ!!!
I'd say thats a pretty good start...<hr></blockquote>
So that's not a direct comparison? You asserted that you picked up 57rwhp with the new setup, and I'm asking (politely mind you) for supporting information. When you say you made 375 with the JPR setup, is that with the "216" cam or the Thunder Racing cam? If that was with the Thunder Racing cam, what did you make with the "216" cam? I remember a figure of around 375rwhp with the "216" cam, JPR heads, and an unlocked converter. Is that not more or less accurate?
[quote]
Maybe Julio will post the info about the setup if he feels like it.We have more testing to do and I'm getting the car ready to rumble in the next few weeks.
OTHER MODS going in the car in 2 weeks
K-member,A-arms,Manual Rack,Hals,Weld 15X10's,
lighter seat,Tq arm,and a 12-bolt.
U can bet I'll be ready very soon...
<hr></blockquote>
Sounds good, I can't wait to see what the car runs. It sounds like you're making it in to a race car now? I always thought running 11.4 with a cheap setup and lots of stock parts was cooler than running 11.1 with a monster heads/cam setup and big dollar race parts, but that’s just me. I don't have a problem with you or Cartech, and I hope the setup does well. All I ask is you be HONEST with me.

JS:
Everyone is building their set-up to do what they want and it will perform/drive based upon their goals. All I want to see is the cars lined up against each other with the weight known. It's no different than posting dyno numbers, its just another way to compare.
The point is it will be a fun comparison to have time slips from the same track at the same time. We had most of the gang together at Cecil this season including Julio, Cartek Dave, and Joe P so its no big deal to do it again.

Terry the car made 367RWHP/352RWTQ w/the 216 Cam LOCKED...That was good for 11.53@116.23
With the TR cam it made 375RWHP/355RWTQ LOCKED
That was good for 11.42@117.47
Both days the DA's were VERY close.
Does that answer your question.
No Terry,I gave my old numbers vs. my new numbers.Thats it,An idiot can tell the Cartek setup is much more radical. Now r u happy.
Joel,I tell ya what how about I race U <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
Just kiddin Joel.Sure I'd be up for racing at Cecil even if Atco's a better track.U put it together, but r we gonna add weight to the cars that r lighter to keep things fair? Or will we make comparisions on ET VS Weight to know which car is actually the quickest/fastest?It really doenst make a difference to me but I'd just like to know how r u gonna set it up.Sounds like fun, count me in.
Terry, let the truth set u free.

Terry- For once you actually made me laugh, but I think you are beating a dead horse here. The results will be seen at the track, and no matter what anyone says, no one is going to believe what they don't want to believe.
Oh and have you ever met Mike (Stealth)? I suggest you bring the entire town of "Simi Valley" with you if you plan to talk any smack when you meet him.
Hello PEOPLE, these are CARS... if someone is going to lie, let them lie, whoever it may be, because it will all come out in the wash eventually. Liars eventually get caught in their own web of deceit so no point in stressing over it.
Everyone needs to worry more about their own business, and their own vehicles instead of being so obsessive over what everyone else is doing.
I think lots of people are forgetting that this is supposed to be fun, I hope we all didn't go dumping money into our cars just so we could stress and argue about it and make life miserable. Geesh...

I'll agree with that. I just enjoy arguing with guys on here. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">

Re: JS's A4 dynoed 432 RWHP and 388 RWTQ
OK hold on here!!! Get off of Terry's back!!! Terry's info is correct. I myself talked to Dave at Cartek on Tuesday, and he told me that JS's car dynoed 408rwhp with the macs. So why would he lie? He also told me that they were gonna install the Dynatechs that afternoon. So Terry's orginal info was correct. So HOW did it get from 408 rwhp to 432 rwhp in one day? And that was supposed to be with the macs still on. I just think it was wrong for everyone to jump down Terry's throat for his info. He obviously talked to Cartek that day like i did. Also FWIW JS was NOT running the 216 cam!! He was ALWAYS running a 218/224 Comp Cam. Just wanted to set the record straight. <img src="graemlins/formula.gif" border="0" alt="[Pontiac]" />

Well go make some friends over there in CA and argue with THEM. If you had some human interaction maybe you wouldn't have to let out all of your social frustrations on an internet message board.

Re: JS's A4 dynoed 432 RWHP and 388 RWTQ
I found an old post from JS that traps him in yet another lie:
[quote]
Very good numbers for a 1st pull and no tuning
I had a setup like this from Joe too
On my automatic car but i had macs instead of LT's.
Take 4% off your numbers becasue of my auto and u come up with 384RWHP which is realy close to what I dynoed 379RWHP for my S1 setup..
Again Erin GREAT NUMBERS
I bet u see another 5RW from tuning
Who's tuning the car?
Larrocca's?
Good luck
<hr></blockquote>

So what is it JS 367rwhp or 379rwhp? I guess you just pick whatever number you think will prove your points?
And now we find out you were running a 218/224 camshaft this whole time instead of a 216 cam?!?! You have some nerve man! Did your mom raise you this way?

Re: JS's A4 dynoed 432 RWHP and 388 RWTQ
I think the naysayers will be put to rest this spring. I'm sure we'll be able to get JS (Cartek) OnyxSS (ARE), Scott M (MMS) and Bob2of3 (JPR) and at least 1 GTP car and maybe an MTI car to show up at Cecil together. We can weigh them on the same scale and then line up and see what happens.
My car will be mid 11s and yet it looks like I'm going to see a lot of tail lights this spring. <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0">
