Re: spark plugs
Both guys are right, either plug works well, you just have to remember if you use the TR6s, they will foul out sooner than the TR55s since they are colder. TR6s will lessen the chances of detonation, so if you're having that problem, these are the plugs to run.

Re: spark plugs
Mmmm, BEST plugs? That is pretty subjective. My stock plugs have lasted for 2 years now without any noticable performance degradation. I will eventually swap them out with Bosch Platinum +4 plugs. NGKs seem to be the popular choice around these parts though. Maybe next time if the Bosch turn out to suck, but those that have them say they are good, so :idontknow:.

Re: spark plugs
If you keep the stock plugs, I would suggest that you pull them one time to check the gapping. When I changed mine there were a couple that were way out of tolerance.

Re: spark plugs
be carefull with the platinum plugs tho. i have pulled many out of differant cars and found numerous that had the platinum "tip" missing from the plug.
that means the engine injested it, it prolly wont hurt much as it gets spit out the exhaust but still, it aint spose to work like that...

That's what you think now but only because you have nothing to compare them to. When I changed the plugs on my 98 Formula at around 7000 miles, I thought the original plugs felt ok, but after the swap there was a huge difference. I also thought the original plugs felt ok in my 60,000 mile 95 Formula too, but you should see how bad of a condition they were in when we pulled them out last weekend. The OEM plugs are total garbage, the platinum pucks always fall off the tops of the plugs. NONE of them were still there on my 95! The gaps had opened up to .080 in some cases! 100k my ****, there is no way they'd last that long! Even 50k is wishful thinking on GM's part for the OEM plugs.
