need the website where they show how to port throttle body!
i want to do the home port job, and has anybody dynoed their ported throttle body, how much rearwheel horsepower to expect? thanx

Its really no big deal. If you look at your TB, there is a lip in there that air has to pass over. You just grind this lip out. Here are instructions on how to remove the TB, and you can clearly see the lip.

Just do the lip and thats it. DO NOT port up against or under the throttle blade.
I used a mini-grinder to port. Then clean up with dremel w/sandpaper bit. Then I took a buffing wheel/bob and buffed it.
They say 3-4hp for the $99 ones. You get alot more for the $99 too. They totally smooth it out and fill the big gap in it with epoxy.
Did my home-port do anything for me? Maybe 1-2hp if I'm lucky. Didn't show at the track.

I know that this is an old discussion but I've been wondering. I've been told that the porthole allows the car to idle better after heads and cam. However, if your car idles right after tuning, would porting be beneficial? Afterall, I can't see how the small hole would help if the blades are open and almost horizontal.
