I just ordered LG G5 cam!
I can't wait to see the specs on this cam, I don't know why they are keeping it a secret, with the dyno #'s its putting out...people like me are dying to know...

They don't want other vendors stealing their design.

I see they put up good numbers with this cam but they also dynoed the auto threw OPEN HEADERS.I'm sure its a great cam.Bears u will do well with this cam and the JPR LS6 Heads.U will put 430RWHP after its tuned in for sure.

"well if you can't get the specs from them, can someone getting their heads done local use a cam doctor or something to find out the specs to have the heads matched to the cam?"
Chris
I know thats easy to do, but to respect LG's wishes, it wouldn't be the right thing to do because it would be found out where and who put it on cam Dr. anyway.
And yes Bear, I would encourage you to run the 112, BUT, it's gona really lope hard and the emmissions are going to be high to begin with using either cam, I am going out on a limb here, but I don't believe this LG cam was designed to meet EPA emissions Make no mistake about it, your package will burn down the dyno and yeild a very respectable ET/MPH too
Joe.
We are looking forward to your package from Joe Prince, and we can't wait to see the numbers.
Thanks for choosing the G5 cam. I am sure you will get everything out of it on the dyno as well as the track.
Thanks again,

see, i'm not going to do it for other's gain. i just don't want to have to buy THEIR heads later on down the line if i can have a local shop do it for half as much(no offence to their heads). granted may not get the exact HP numbers he could, but it's more of a budget thing rather than trying to exploit LG's efforts. which i would never want to do. i hope that explains my position on that question.
Chris
This cam will work with your local head porter, no problem. You can have him call us and we will work with him. You do not have to use our heads with this cam to get good numbers. RAT had stock heads, and got 392rwhp/377rwtq with no head work at all.
The cam is good, and we would like to sell it to you or anyone. It helps a company to make a small profit, so they can stay in business, and then they can keep on improving the breed.
Good luck again Bear!

How much would that be through a stick?
About 410/390? Makes it almost not worth porting the heads. This cam must really let the exhaust do an efficient job pulling in intake charge.

yes it does. hense the greater gains on stock heads (proportionally).
918's are perfect. longevity concerns may warrant dual springs if you are pulling the heads anyway.
Terry is right...although the G5 is just a bit smaller than the 229.

I rember getting BLASTED from alot of people for not reveiling my cam numbers. But I respect Lou's desire to keep his stuff alittle on the QT.

Nah you got BLASTED because you told us you had a 216/220 cam and really had a 218/224 cam. Then you tell us you swapped out your TR224 cam for a "Cartech" 224 cam. Then post a dyno that has a power peak @6700rpm.
