Default MS3 vs. FM 15

i'm fixing to upgrade and buy an ls1 powered camaro. i was wanting to put in a cam as one of the first major upgrade. i have a choice of going with the MS3 237/242 .603/.609 112 LSA 2300-6800 RPMs. see i like this cam but someone has it here in my small town already. i wanted something around the same but that might pull out in front of it without being way bigger in specs. i was looking at the FM F15. it's a 236/239 .600/.611 111 LSA. 3500-7200 RPM's. see the car i'm looking at is a six speed. his is an auto with heads i think a with a higher stall. let me know what you guys think.

depends on the heads that come with that car youre looking at and other mods...

back to the original question:

i think the MS3 has proven itself time and time again....I cannot comment on the FM series cams....

I have heard that Futural may take a little longer to get the cam out to you, if time is an issue...if not then it comes down to your set up, goals, and of course PRICE!

Personally id go with the MS3, better powerband FTW

Me too, id go with MS3 or 4 also about my self, i tried this cam and he's very aggressive, xtreme energy checkout 238-240 605"/609" 112LSA 2,800-7,200 RPM

If you want to order that cam here's the information:

Grind Number: LS1 XER287HR-12

Part #: CCA-54-448-11

Let us know what you will do!

Good luck

While the F15 is a good cam I would go with something smaller like the F13 or F14 and if you can do the high lift version they are even better. I daily drive a F14 in my car. If the highlift was out when I swapped cams I would have gone with it since it makes more HP and TQ over the stock F14. If you really want to know about the F15 cam PM Kraest on this forum. He had a F15 cammed car for a while through various mod stages.

Personally, i'd go with MS3 if ya ask me why we tested that specific camshaft & as erikthegoalie it has proven itself (70rwhp is the average we usualy see with M6 Trans.)

peace

Agreed, thats why i went with it and glad i did Why not look into the MS4? I been hearing good things about that too. I would stick with TSP, good company and great customer service
