Default Who is running the G5x????

2 or 3 in your A4's?? Which would you recommend with my set up..?
This will be my daily driver... Am currently running a 232/236 595 601 114...
But am looking for something a little different...

Stock bottom end..
LS6/LS2 heads unported off of an 06 GTO
LS6 intake
Ported TB
Long tubes
True dual ( through a custom CME)
Vig 3600 ( 323 gears)
30lb injectors
upgraded valve springs,locks,retainers..

I was able to get 401 @ the wheels ( dumped) with my current cam.

Give me your opinion... Will be building my motor within the next couple of weeks...

Yes, i did a search... However, i would like some "live" opinions.

Thanks..

It depends what you want. I honestly don't know if I'd even change. Your current cam is close to an X2 as it is. Those LG cams would be a nice improvement, but nothing night/day. The only thing I see wrong with your cam is:

114LSA
And the G5X cams have +4 advance ground in, so they still hit nice and hard down low.

Matt, I shipped an email or 2 to you right after Thanksgiving, did you get them?

The LS2s really like the G5x3, however the current cam still has some area for improvement. I think you will be impressed, but I know the current constraints of the budget. I do not have anything used, or I would suggest that.

Feel free to give me a call at the shop tomorrow, cant hurt

WAY different setup and no comparison, but I have x2 on 114. It has good street manners with a little growl to it. When you get in it, oh man does it hit. Dyno'd again today down at LG....tinkering with the fuel a little. Sean and Mike are really cool!! Just a little tinker with the curve and went from 355 to 361rwhp and 340rwlbtq.

The G5X3 on 112 would be mean and would be the direction I'd consider if the motors not together and P/V can be checked easily....

That's the one that they only install in-house, I believe. And yes, it's supposed to be bigger, but that's just rumor.

Secret spec cams and only being able to get them is the "shop" installs it is something that i dont agree with. I love to work on my car. Its a sense of pride. Hell i'd buy my own dyno and tune my car my self if i had the money

Yeah, but remember there are plenty of people who are fine knowing that it works. They have the money to pay someone to do the work. They don't want to do the work themselves. So they pay a shop. I understand your point, and you presented it well. There's some guys (or should I say gays) on here that actually get mad and ranting about it, as if it's their problem, when someone buys a secret spec cam. Stupid.

Oh yeah, and if you can't trust LGmotorsports, there's nobody you can trust.
