I always wanted them to go over the axles, but I was caught up in the bolt on game & learned that lighter is better, and they served the trick by dumping before the axle. However, now I would like to be able to conversate. Granted alot of the noise was due to the fact that I didn't have carpet, interior & some panels in, but it seems to be normal to me. But might not seem normal to some.
That's why in the future, I will go oval all the way outthe back, but be adjustable where I could unclamp right before the axle & dump just after the X. I would gain alot of clearance, that I might need when I go to a 12 bolt or 9". I plan to do more track testing, with stock mufler & the duals with new T1 cam. See what the gain is.
