Default No more bolt on, ordered the T1 today.

It was a toss up between the TR224 & the T1. I ended up with the T1, because of the $175 difference. I think they are close in power, with the slight edge going to the TR. But I couldn't justify the extra $$ for the minimal gains.

Track times at the end of the year for me was consistently 11.50 flat, so after the cam, I will take into account the weight changes (I have interior in now, & roll bar) & run again & figure out what kinda gains I get. I should be able to pick up a few tenths, even with the added weight.

11.49 is flying for a bolt-on only car! Now you also need to work on getting into the low 1.4X 60' time range, you might consider a larger converter like the TP4400. That Vig 3200 is a sweet balance between street/strip, but you are leaving at least a tenth at the 60' on the table.

Finally did it lol. I like my B1 cam and i could not hold out long enough to go all out with my bolt on set up knowing the cam will pick the car up but if i had known we could 60ft. in the 1.5s with the 3200 vigilante i would have held off on the cam. Third gear will pull like a freight train with the cam and should cross the traps around the 6200rpm mark like me.

Your setup is perfect for the T1 but you will notice that the cam wants a bigger stall. I'm planning to put a YTP4400 in the car this summer i hope,if all goes well, and see if i can knock down some deep 11s.

I see that the TR224 cam is $430 on Thunder Racing's website, but the T1 is listed as $450 on MTI's site. Am I not looking in the right places? I'd like a T1 myself...preferably used.

Look in the GP section on this site, there is a special for ls1tech members, you must mention this when calling. It is $599 for the cam & valvetrain upgrade.
I think I'll keep the Vig 3200 for now. I also have a 150 shot I hooked up at the end of last year, & it looks like the nitrous does not go over to well with such a huge converter. I might raise this one up to 3800, not worried about that now.
I know if I wanted to stay bolt on I would have went with a Yank 4400 & picked up at least a tenth, but I dont mind leaving that on the table, you guys who run those converters know what kinda time I would run with one, & can subtract that from my 11.49 time & see that I'm right there with the other 2 who are on top of the bolt on game.
Right now it's time to play with 10 sec time slips. If I had the extra $$ I could easily get to 9's. With the cam & nitrous, I feel I'm only a tranny, & rearend away from 9 sec time slips. Wouldn't have to change anything else except maybe tires.
When I catch up on the credit cards, I'll be there.

Count me out also. I'm in the process of a big cam, heads, dynatechs, N20 and hopefully some good ls1 edit tuning. I hope to run 10.60's on motor and I bought a TNT F2 to see if it will blow up or go sub 10.0s I should be around 3200 raceweight with my upcoming moly bar. Hey, 11.40's internally stock was fun but I need lower et's. Good luck. <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

What about a Texas boy living in Michigan now?

I might just know where one is with a 01 Formula.

Good luck with the new setup. Thanks to you and StreetStalkerz for all the help in the past year. I am hoping to hit 11's as a bolt on car next week, and then I am gonna do a B1 + NOS.
