Default Chambered vs. True Dual vs. Single Exhaust

...so which one is best? And I know this sounds silly but what is a chambered exhaust set up? I think the Intimidator SS has it, but how does it work and does it kick? <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">
Thanks!!!

Default Re: Chambered vs. True Dual vs. Single Exhaust

Chambered is a type of muffler where the flow follows a path of angles that use sound to cancel out sound...that is that sound bounces back and meets sound canceling itself out. I bet Flowmaster's site gives better illustration about this (I haven't checked.)

Single exhaust means that at some point the exhaust flow is going through only one pipe. True duels means that at no point is it flowing through only one pipe.

Which is best? That's debatable. My opinion is that so long as the one pipe is big enough that one is better (less wall surface drag and less weight.) This is assuming we're talking about in a system where the exhaust goes all the way to the bumper.
