Default Converting to LS6 valley cover setup, need P/Ns!

Already have the valley cover, gasket and bolts. What is the part number for the new PCV valve, plugs and plastic pipe?

The LS6 cover utilizes an internal PCV system.

TrahnZam- do you know if your block will needed to be grinded?

The LS6 PCV valve and tubing come as a complete kit from GM. I had the part numbers logged somewhere from when I did this, but I cannot locate them. I used Jim Pace for the parts and I know the "U" shaped tube with connectors and the PCV valve came together for something like 50.00.

Be prepared to chisel a lot of the aluminum "boss" off under the valley cover. You almost need to remove it entirely to get the LS6 cover to fit on with the oil/air seperator and tube under it. Get a couple small chisels and cover that engine valley up real well to keep all debrie out. I wouldn't use a grinder!!

Well, Im taking my engine to the machine shop for headwork and to have the piston rings replaced. So while its down there I'm going to show them what needs to remove and have them do it. I wouldnt even attempt this with a motor still in the car.

Also why is chiseling it better than grinding? I would think you risk causing stress fractures with chiseling.

The pipe with pcv valve is part# 12568010 and the drivers side plug is part# 12568011. Anyone have pictures of what needs to be cut away to install the valley cover?

Yes, the block will need to be chiseled to fit the new tube coming from the baffles. Anyone have those P/N's handy?

I understand part# 12568010 is this below...

Is part# 12556454 Tube, PCV (LS6) (~$3) the brass looking tube that attaches to the valley cover?

You already have that tube, Part# 12556454. Its the one that goes from the TB to the passenger side valvecover(the top tube in your picture). I ordered it thinking I needed it.The PCV valve connects to the brass tube on the cover.

What are you guys doing to plug the rear of the manifold? I ordered the LS6 kit from GMpartsdirect.com for $47 shipped. If someone could post pics it would be appreciated. Thanks

Jon, not really sure what hole you are looking at,but on the back of the manifold is the map sensor and vacuum ports.
