Where's my pressure regulator located???
Hey guys, I have been told my fuel pressure regulator is in the following places:
1) In the tank - fuel sending unit
2) Just outside of tank - Regulator / filter combo
3) A T-connector, just after the filter, outside of tank.
4) Up front on my fuel rail.
My setup is a 2000 LS1 from a Camaro, IN an '87 RX7 Turbo II.
I need to know what needs to go between the pump and the engine! Of course, only have ONE (1) line running up to the fuel rail.
What about a regulator? Do I need to reg / filter combo, or what?
Any info would really help! <img src="images/icons/confused.gif" border="0">

Re: Where's my pressure regulator located???
Thanks! I CAN work with that info! I've got Z06 fuel rail covers, so I'm going to keep my '00 setup. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. Thanks again.

Stock, the regulator is in the tank. It's part of the pump hanger/level sender hanger.
The thing in the rail is a pulse damper to limit line hammer in the rail. Filter is just a filter, and the T-fitting just provides a path from the feed off the pump to the inlet side of the regulator.
If you're not using the factory tank, you will need to provide a regulator.
you could always use the '97 rail, it has provisions for a feed and return line, and a rail mounted regulator
