Dynatech step headers for dRagULa
www.ls1tech.com/moderators/psj
We are considering a full exhaust redo.
dRagULa currently has TTS longtubes (stainless), a 3" custom ORP made by ARE, and a 4" Mufflex with a custom 4" Dynomax Ultra Flo welded muffler.
We are thinking of doing the Dynatech step headers doing into 3" oval duals, 3" bullet mufflers with turndowns.
We have a dyno session planned in the next two weeks, but may hold off and make these exhaust changes.
Thoughts?

We know that last year was a tough year. Two years ago you were #12 on the NA list, and it was good.
Last year was a tough year. You finally hooked up with ARE and went 11.3 right off the trailer with converter and tranny issues. Laster went 11.15 shifting at 6100.
BV Performance will have you shifting at 6600/6600 and use some highly accurate injector tables and make it all good.
PSJohnny already purchase the oval pipe, bullets and turndowns but will keep the rest of the exhaust. He just need to find some extra flanges. He wants to see if it will be loud or too loud. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
I opted for the cheapest setup
3in Y,3in Interm.,Cutout,3in over the axle to a 3in SINGLE Dynomax Race Magnum w/3in tail pipe.
Sure its loud but it flows EXCELLENT and weighs nothing.Maybe down the road I look for a quiet round sigle muffler since I use a cutout most of the time.Anyone know of any quiet round mufflers that weigh 6lbs tops?
Good Luck John

dRagULa is looking for 475-485rwhp next time with dynotuning via LS1Edit.
If dRagULa runs 126 trap speeds at 3600 raceweight we will be happy. Best so far was 120.99mph at 3650 raceweight hitting the rev limiter on both shifts.
We will install the dual exhaust before the dyno session and go from there.
Just spend the money on tuning and weight reduction.
A change of this sort is something you do when you are looking to see a gain from 10 rwhp that you will notice--not when the car still doesnt even have the shift points set correctly. You'd get to the track with 4 changes made to gain a tenth and a mph and not know what did what...and this is what I call frustration and inefficiency.
motor.80mm throttle body, port matched holley
intake , K&N FIPK.Your headers should be fine.
Larry, Tom and I will be testing the FIPK against
a lid and a K&N.Along with HPP3 power tuning and
open vs. closed borla.I'll let you know the results
in a couple of weeks.
