Help me get my car back on the road
I am waiting for the AIR tubes for a 98-99 that I ordered, since I have a 2001 the AIR tubes don't fit the Hooker LT's i just installed. The problem is that I need to use my car and these won't be in till Friday or Monday. Will I have a problem if I just use the AIR block off plates and not use the AIR tubes at all just till the new ones get to my house? I assume that the AIR system will run like usual on a cold start up. What problems will I run into doing this besides a possible check light? I would basically blovk off the header ftting, and just leave the check valve tied up in the engine bay somewhere. The pump will still run but it will just won't be pumping the air into the header. Give me some advice PLEASE, I haven't had my car since last Friday <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

Thanks for shooting him an email. I am hoping the verdict will be that it is ok.
Any one else know if I should have a problem blocking these of temporarily?

This will not affect how your engine runs, but it could very well set a SES code. I am also not sure if having no AIR on cold startup could harm your cats any - but I am definitely not sure about that.

Brendon, you wont hurt any thing, may set code but converters wont be damaged by lack of air injection, they just wont function as designed untill all is back on line.
