I have had the cam for a while now and just recently installed the Hooker LT's. They are coated and I have a 3" y pipe w/ no cats. I reset my computer and have a 50 miles o it since then. I have finally done some slight a tapping and MAFT tuning. HOLY **** does this thing scream up top!!! <img src="gr_eek2.gif" border="0"> I am still runnning a bit lean, I need to go even richer with the MAFT. The low end power is about the same as with the stock manifolds due to the 3" y pipe which benefits i the upper rpm range. I richened up 2 clicks on the base and WOT and it feels a lot stronger, so hopefully it will keep getting even stronger as I get the air/fuel correct.
Is it normal for me to be so lean with the cam and headers? My only other mods are a lid, MAF ends, with a basically stock catback. I have the base set at 4 clicks rich, and the WOT 3 clicks rich and my Ltrims are still at 7-9 positive. I haven't done any WOT runs yet but I will tonight. Is it the MAF ends leaning me out that much or is that normal with a cam and headers?

My L trims are very eratic at idle, more so than they have ever been before. I will check for a vacum leak, that could be the cause. I am going to put my stock MAF ends on but will I lose any performance with it, stock screen and all? I just did a few WOT runs, I had no KR and my o2's were between .935-.945 which is a bit rich so I went down a click on the WOT on my MAFT and will have to run it again. It feels really strong although I am sure that I lost some throttle responmse with the 3" y pipe and no cats, but it more than makes up for it up top.
Another thing I noticed today was that if I load the motor down around 2500 rpms and give it a lot of gas to accellerate, there is a grinding/ vibration type from under the car, could that be the y pipe hitting the floor board?

I just got my car back with a TR224 112 and Hooker LT's, 2.5" ORY and mine is running a bit rich. I have just a Lid, ported TB, and full exhaust. It is around .925 at WOT. Will descreening to MAF help lean it out a little? Im getting 27.5 degrees of timing at WOT. Thanks
