how many people have reused the head bolts on the LS1 heads?

I would wager to guess nobody, since the manual specifically states do not re-use.

They are torque to yield, you can get a new set for 28 bucks from the dealer.

Do not reuse them. I'd even suggest to not even use the stock style bolts. Get the ARP's...you'll be thankful you did.

I wasn't going to. just wanted to know if anybody else had. can you fit the heads under the cowl with the ARP studs? let me know

heads must go on first, then install studs. i recommend arp myself.

Unless your making BIG power, or some sort of power adder, i'd just get the ARP Head Bolts. A bit cheaper than the studs i might add...Not having to do the whole TTY makes them worth the cost alone.
