Just got done installing new plugs on the drivers side => Went a lot better than I thought took me about 20-30mins I was expecting more so I am happy, but now I get to move over to the passenger side, I am not looking forward to this. It looks like a fun day. Hey Pro Stock John Joe (HACKERJOE) tells me that you are da man at changing plugs, have any good tips for the passenger side that you can throw at me. Finished the passenger side plug install Friday night, man what a PITA. My arms and hands are so torn up. 2,4 and 6 notta a problem I didn't even move the coil packs like stated, due to the las bolt being impossiable to break loose. Ok so on to #8 first thing that I did was just yank up on the coil packs to move them up and out of the way. notta problem. Took me a little bit to get to the #8, but once I found the best way in it was cake taking off and installing the new one. Now the hardest part and which took the longest (Don't laugh) was the putting the freaking AIR valve back on the header. The back bolt that is by the fender would not screw in and then it feel under the engine, took me a couple of mins to find the freakin bolt and then I tried again DAMN it feel again this time I couldn,t locate it so I said f*ck it and went in, it was like 1:30am at this point. So the next morning I went out and loked from the front pasengerside tire up towards the front of the engine and I found it and put it back on.......DONE YESSSSSSS....Man I don't look forward to doing that again. My arm was sore al saturday from bending every way that it is not suppose too..Thanks..Michael

what kind of headers do you have? it doesnt look that hard with FLPs, although i havent tried it yet <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I have the FLP's it wasn't too bad just getting the 10mm deep socket on the last coil bolt was a PITA, never did get it. With the FLP's where the Air valve meets the header the back bolt that is next to the fender didn't want to go back in and it keep falling. Finding the freraking bolt was the most time consuming. The best advice that I can give is don't be afraid to get both knees on the battery when getting at #6 & 8 this makes it a lot easier. I also highly recomend a swivel rachet this came in handy big time. All I can say is good luck and don't give up.....Michael <img src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

 

Slowhawk - I totally agree...I bet the next time will go a lot better now that I know what exactly I need to do. But I am still not looking forward to it. Oh and BTW how often should I change the plugs when I am spraying???
