I see lots of really fast high hp cars on here,have any of you built a 13 to 1 ls1? If no why not?Seems like the extra power would be worth running race gas for a track only car.just curious.

 

I believe you will find less than a handfull of track only cars in here. This board is 99 percent street driven so most all have to worry about pump gas as a limiting factor as far as compression ratio goes. But I agree on a strip motor 13-1 to 14.5-1 would make more power. But so would a killer intake, large solid roller and 8k rpms.

 

I believe that Judson's (SAM SS) is 13:1 compression. Dont quote me on that though <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
