Is this a 'normal' problem?? I just got my 99 TA 3 days ago. It's a stock A4 car. Well I raced this guy on the way to work this morning. I punched it from the stoplight and right before it shifted into second gear, it hit the rev limiter, then shifted. I still won the race, tho.
Is it normal for the car to hit the rev limiter? Or is that caused my transmission slippage while it's shifting?

Ya, I think that would be a good idea. I need to change the oil too anyways.
