Default Head and cam install, then...

Is it possible to add a supercharger or STS turbo kit? Or will the compression ratio be too high?

Well you can do heads and cam on a forced induction motor. You just have to pay special care to the SCR. The magic number for boosted cars seems to be 8.5, the closer you get the better you'll be. With some nice heads you can get more power out of a turbo or supercharger @ a lower psi.

Ah I see so its one or the other, or build up a motor with upgraded heads and low compression for the S/C makes sense.

Fyi, n00b here. I agree on SCR. But cam selection is important too. I think a mild cam is better for boost. You don't want too much duration on the cam - the PSI will bleed out.

There is a guy in the dyno section. Has a 224/224 and 6.0 heads with ati d1sc hittin 600rwhp.

Plan it right.

Not necessarily, as long as the LSA is kept around 114 or so. Ive found with boost, the bigger the cam, the more power it will make. Driveability may suffer, and it wont be too friendly as a daily driver, but it will make lots of power.

Default H/C with boost

Yeah, most people that do heads and cam end up with a SCR of around 11.0:1, but they plan to stay NA at that point.

If you're going to do H/C and want to do forced induction later, then you definitely want to be in he 8-9 range.
