Cam Help.. Newb Questions!!
So before you say anything, yes i have read the 'cam guide' now can someone put that in english for me LOL!!!! Sorry if i ask a lot of questions, but that is how you learn.
SEE SIG FOR MODS
ok here it goes
I want a good cam, my trans am is not a DD any more, But here is the catch, i am not gonna do any head work. Meaning no P&P heads. jsut want a cam only car. I jsut bought a Ram Air Hood, Lower WS6 Air Box. and i have a P&P TB. Basically i am letting the air get in as much as i can (INHALE) and with my exhaust set up (SEE SIG) i am letting it leave too (EXHALE). So i can some what benefit from a decent cam.
So i was thinking maybe a TR224 or MS3?? But what is this cheaTR cam that i have been hearing about? i want something that will work great with my set up. AGAIN STOCK HEADS... but i was thinking i want the cam to have great low to mid power.. i really do not drive my car to 6000 RPMs everyday and it sees the track 1 maybe 2 time a year. I like to do a lot of roll races.. So what cam could benefit me from that? I would like the car to have a mean, lopey idle! So i was thinking a 112 LSA. I know some friends that have a 112 LSA and drive ability seems to be fine.
Now as far as retainer, springs and pushrods to go with i have no idea on that. I have not really red about that too mcuh yet. So any info would be great.
What about an upgraded oil pump will that be necessary? Do i want the cam to be straight up or degreed? I know that i want an LS2 timing chain
Any other info would be great. Thanks for helping me learn

Cheater cam is a cam by thunder racing (sponser) the cam was designed to be used with the stock manifold but still give you a stock like idle (sleeper). You could still get good results with LT and the cheater cam. Make sure you get a good valve train set up also ie spring.

Yea i kinda figured that the cheaTR cam was made by Thunder Racing.. I have QTP LTs on the car. but i think that the cheaTR is a little too small for my application
That is what i need help with, VALVE TRAIN

because it's designed to be the biggest possible cam to fit under stock heads and valves without flycutting.
and you say you're thinking about a 224 and a MS3.. that's like saying you're thinking about a .22 and a machine gun.

i wasn't recommending him to go with the T-Rex...i recommended the 231/237 and he said it was "TOO BIG" for stock heads when actually in today's world its considered to be on the small side...and yes the T-Rex is made for stock heads cause its the biggest u can go without flycutting...and the best way to take advantage of stock heads is with the T-Rex unless u plan on heads later on

MS3 and TRex are usually mentioned together. I believe the TRex even makes a bit more power under the curve. The MS3 is slightly smaller duration, but a higher ICL.

Also when doing a cam you want the exhasut number in this cas to 230 to bigger than the intake 224 right? You always want a bigger exchaust number/ Lift i dont think i am to concerned with. But i want a 112 LSA
BTW i ahve seen this: 112+2 LSA... <----- What does that mean?
