SLP 2OTL impressions, and how it stacks up to Flowmaster...
I redid my entire exhaust from the manifolds back this weekend. My old setup was gutted cats, stock Y-pipe, and a Flowmaster American Thunder catback. I replaced this setup with Mufflex race pipes, SLP Y-pipe, and a SLP 2OTL catback. I didn’t do any before and after dyno or track times yet, but let me say that this new setup completely destroys FM in every way. Sound, SOTP power, and smoother & faster revs. I am VERY impressed with this new setup in all areas.
Some people might remember me always arguing for FM in many threads on this board and LS1.com in the past. I’ve always said that the “no power gain” claim towards FM was bogus. But I can admit when I’m wrong, and boy was I wrong This SLP catback blows away the FM system in every way. I know that I also upgraded the Y-pipe setup, but I had an off road Y-pipe setup on the FM system a while ago that had to come off cause it sounded like crap and this still feels much stronger. And unlike the FM system, the 2OTL does not have that horrible ORY rasp at all! It sounds great, but I think it would be too quiet for my taste if I did run cats with it.
And it looks great, even on a T/A. A lot of people told me that it would look out of place on a T/A rear bumper, but myself and everyone that’s seen it so far has really liked it

cool! I'm looking towards this system too, and I like the single exit systems, just b/c most run duals. And I never get enough of "hey is that a 6 cylinder?" b/c of my single LH exhaust pipe off my flowmaster muffler
