[quote]guys don't get all revved up about these gaskets GM doesn't sell individual gaskets now. The head gaskets now come in a kit that includes the bolts and valve cover gaskets etc. so the cost is substantially higher.

These 02 one's are the only ones left that you can buy individually. I don't know what the motivation was for GM to put all the other's in kit form all, but they did. Hopefully they won't for the 02's.

That's kinda funny, cause i ordered them individually last week, and had them on tuesday. Hmmmm.

Straight from the dealer.

Or, if i felt like driving a couple hours i could pick them up at the warehouse.

And yes, the 5.7 bore P/N is correct 12573949

So if im just using a set of 6.0L heads and getting them milled down to about a 11.1 ratio. I'll need a 5.7 gasket kit right, if im just using them on a stock bore 5.7? That kit part number is 88894343? Just want to make sure im reading this all right.

My observations here lead me to believe these new gaskets are going to be thinner than graphite style thats nice you can always use more compression! Warning though, you have to pay close attention to block and head surface finishes, and flatness. This style wont be as forgiving seal wise as composite style gasket will. Coarse finish or scratches may leak with shim style gasket even though these are better and will hold more pressure than old style.

If you have milled the heads to the point where the edge of the chamber is in the same location as a 5.7 bore head, then yes

Normally, if you use a 5.7 gasket on a 6.0 head the gasket ends up in the combustion chamber.

If you've milled the heads enough, then use the 5.7 gasket

I don't know how much you'd have to take off
