Default How much power would factory cats hold back with LT's?

I finally got my Hookers and they are going on in a few days. I want to get RT cats, but I don't really want to spend the $$ right now. Would the factory cats hold back a lot of power? I'm having a custom Y made (of course) and I'll just run with no cats for a few weeks if the factory ones hold back too much hp. I want to feel a nice sotp improvment as soon as the headers go in.

Yes they would cost you some horsepower over the RT high flow one's but I doubt if you would feel it. You should however feel the difference if offroad pipes are on instead. If you plan on getting RT highflow cats soon just leave your stock one's on for now. And keep in mind your Borla will sound awful(very raspy) with orp's.

BTW, why not just wait to put your headers on until you get your highflow cat's in? It saves you the trouble and money of having your cat's/orp's swapped in and out twice.

Because I'm too anxious to get them in lol! If I run w/o cats for awhile, I will have the Borla closed so it shouldn't be too bad but I don't want the engine to run too rich since I have no maft. That's why I may put the stockers in for now, as long as I will feel a nice gain even with them.

Another question. Will I need O2 extensions for the cats? I already have them for the front sensors, but not the rear.

We can get Carsound cats for a good price, if you are interested. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
