98 Z28 Stg 2 MTI heads/cam made 401rwhp. Thinking of taking back to MTI for LS6 intake and LS1 edit tuning. Any guess how much more rwhp to expect. Would LS1edit tuning alone would make more power?

 

Yes a ls6 intake would help. Tuning would really help.. How long have you had the heads/cam package?

 

You could expect another 10rwhp from the intake and another 10rwhp from the tuning.

 

Heads and cam should always be accompanied by a 2001+ intake manifold.

LS1 Edit tuning is debatable...there have been heads/cam cars (or at least one) that MTI got 0rwhp out of after countless dyno tunes. It all depends on the car and combo.

Was the 401rwhp through a muffler or a cutout?

 

10 from an intake an 10 from tuning.That sounds alittle optimistic but who knows?I would say for sure u will net sbout 15RWHP
That puts u at 416RWHP which is very good for a LS1 S2 H/C setup.

I did the Heads/Cam in Sept. 2000 right before ls6 intake were readily available. The exhaust is FLP's w/o cats and Borla. Thanks all for the input.

 

Your #'s seem about right.. I would invest in ls6 intake and some tuning..

 

What cam are you using???

List your complete mods. An ASP pulley, ported TB, gears, little mods,etc all make a difference.

As said above, LS6 intake and tuning is worth an easy 10rwhp.

bigSS asks "What cam are you using???" I'm not sure of the specs, my MTI reciept says LUN-4999.
