Default Small cam vs. 1.8 Crane RR's???

what kind of cam specs could come out of using the 1.8RR's? i know the LS and the duration don't change, it's just the lift right? would i need new springs then too? how would this compare to throwing in a small cam? thanks

Chris

ps-are the RR's considered a bolt on for the "bolt-on game"?

I'd definitely swap the cam out instead. You'll see a much bigger increase in power from a cam than you will the 1.8 Cranes. You will also need new springs and pushrods with the rockers. If you're running the '98-'00 cam w/ .500" stock lift, the rockers will put you at .529". If you're running the '01+ cam w/ .478" lift, then your new effective lift will be .506". For what you'll pay for the rockers, springs, and pushrods, you can buy a complete cam kit. I know that MTI's last cam GP was $599. If you aren't doing the install yourself, then the only added cost will be labor. MTI's install cost w/ the cam GP was $350, FWIW.
