Re: Cam suggestions please!!!
Do a search on cams. You'll find a lot of info that way. There is also a section on ls1info.com (?) with mucho cam information.
With an A4 I'd say you would do well with something like a 222/222, .565-.580 lift, 114 LSA. Should work well with your TC and 6400 rpm limit.

Well it doesn't have much of a lope but I would suggest the MMS 218 cam for your Auto. I just had mine installed, you can find my before and after numbers here. https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=1&t=003525

Cam suggestions please!!!
I have a 99' LS1 A4 with PI 3600stall. I have all the John Campbell Free mods (Man does he know how to use a dremel, and sanding wheel), I have Borla Catback, Lid, and that's about it. Stock 323 gears in the back.
I am planning on going with Dynatech LT's, and custom Ypipe for the exhaust.
What I'm really wanting to know is with all the latest technology out there, what is the best cam for me...now what I want is: a nice lope, decent driving characteristics (Not looking for stock type idle quality), and the best power I can make up to about 6400rpms, I don't want to spin my motor higher than that for the simple fact, I don't want to do uneccessary wear and tear on the bottom end. I'm not looking to be billy badass, just want the best cam I can purchase when I do.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated...
TIA

Hey Kris...waz up?
Kris, look at the Hammer cam.
222/222 .566/.566 112
Great power, excellent drivability, power in the RPM range you have described, ability to work well with aftermarket heads later on, proven performer.
A buddy just installed it with no heads and a ST3500 verter/FLP headers.
390 rwhp! Through the exhaust with no dyno tricks.
On a second note. I would steer you away from the dyna techs. They are a RACE header. You will lose gobs of low end and mid range torque. They are a RACE header. I dont recommend them for street cars. Kind of overkill (IMO)
Good luck.

Re: Cam suggestions please!!!
Josey - I'm with jantzer - the MMS 224 v3.1 is simply awesome. I just had it installed with MMS Stage 2 heads and there is incredible power throughout the entire rpm range.
This cam has good idle characteristics - slight to moderate lope and VERY streetable. The key with installing any high performance mod also lies with whoever does your tune-up after the install.
