Default Lift and spring question

I'm looking at getting a 226/226 .570/.570 112LSA cam. If I get the cam and pushrods, and go with the 918 springs would you a) reuse the stock retainers, B) use steel retainers (770 replacements from comp cams), c) use the ti retainers. The steel retainers is my first choice. So what would you guys do?

Im getting ready to do about the same cam and spring swap as you and im going to use stock retainers and keepers, stock retainers are steel and are light i dont see any reason to change either of them. 130 lbs. and 330lbs pressures are compatible with these parts IMO.

Getting ready to do the same swap cam any everything? Damn... thought I might be at least slightly original. Have you seen any dyno numbers for this cam? I was told the stock retainers are a little small so I was going to use the comp cams steel retainers because they are slightly bigger. And it's only 50 bucks. Let me know how the car runs and all. Are you going to be using a 112 LSA? Please let me know how it lopes and it's driving characteristics. When are you going to be doing the install? Thanks agin.

Jason i have MMS 229*/229* .578"/.578" on a 112*lsa so you may still have an origonal set up. I have a m6 and i only plan on raising rev limiter at first, and setting idle at 1000 rpms.
I want to install asap but its still freezing cold here so i will wait till warmer weather.
Im planning hardened pusrods also.I am looking to make 370Rwhp on my 2001 Z28, you should make gains similar to this, but mine will be a little doggy to about 4000 rpm(perfect for street racing )

Jason, i dont have head work yet, i plan on doing work in stages and i will eventually port my own heads or do a set of ls6 castings to run on the motor. I feel and have seen dyno graphs showing torque with cam of this size at stock amount or higher even as low as 3000 rpm. I think cam will be livable on street tires, probably more usefull than smaller cam on the street, for racing purposes(traction)
