Car burning up O2's every few months
I dnt know if this would be programing rlated failure or some thing like oil gtting on them and pluging them up. It started doing it on the way to get my car dynoed yesterday. I completely quit on the parkway. I thought some water may had got inside the connectors and causing it to ack like it was. It did this a few months ago and i repaced them at it acted fine untill now. Anyways i strapped the car down on the rollers and begain to make the first pull. It was acting retarded spitting and sputtering like it was loading up and finnaly clearing its self out. When i finally got it into 3rd gear for the pull it was still acting up the resulted was 369 rwhp and 430 rwtq i was like wtf it wrong next one worsed up and it was like 360 rwhp and 417 on the torque. So i was looseing power since i switched to the stepped dynatechs from the regular ons. The number on the 100 shot only made 489 rwhp and 511 rwtq i think it sould have made a lot more than that.
Would anybody have any reasons why the car is killing the o2 sensors and down on power since the previous 389 rwhp and 417 rwtq pull. Could it bea programming problm or a problem with the gas im running thats clogging the sensors. I hate spending 200 on 2 O2 sensors at the dealer. Any help is appreciated Thanks Justin <img src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" border="0">

There's your problem. You are fouling out and ruining O2 sensors from running too rich.
I'd check that AF ratio.
You have stock tuning?
I bet you are getting really terrible gas mileage too.

Re: Car burning up O2's every few months
Went to the Dealer today and Tech2'ed the car and found out the crankshaft performance postion sensor was setting a code, Both bank one and two was way rich. So it sit a code. Dealer gave me a new O2 sensor for the drivers side but i have to buy one for the passenger side. Yes its getting terrible gas milage. And I think is the reason its down on power on the dyno. I have Ed Wright programming Is there a way he can lean it out a bit. I had it programmed for a pace 85 mm ls6 sensor with the ls1 calibrated. I had to put the stock Maf back on the car cause it would nt fit with the power ring. Could this be a problem. The collectors on my headers are welded s no leak there to mess with the millivolts on the sensor.

150 miles to the tank?
I'd Autotap #1, and look into getting a MAF Translator.
I changed some stuff on my car, and it became superich cruising and part throttle, so much so it the throttle response got very soggy and the gas mileage was really bad.
I have an AF gauge in a pod, and i noticed it was RICH at idle. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">
I have my MAF T at -15 base, and 2% lean at WOT.
I will say that I messed with MAF T by ear for a bit because I hear the motor running better.
Also when you are phat you dyno more tq, and vice versa... Lean is mean...

You might want to keep an eye on your oil level too. Rich conditions can use more oil according to what I have heard.

I think i will have Ed Wright reflash my computer to lean it out some and get rid of all the tranny codes. I will also look in to getting a maft.
