Ok guys i dont think im going to put any more mods on my impala ss. Its just too heavy to run the times i want low 10's. And my camaro is my daily driver. And the impala is paid for and i will just lose tons of $$$ if i sell it.

So i want another car. Im stuck between a 99-00 Hard top vette or some sort of camaro/firebird SS 0r firehawk. LS1 CARS

So my question is which is faster stock? Because ive seen good numbers from both any where from 13.5-12.80 STOCK (it took heads cam intake for my impy to get there).

Which costs more to get there?

My basic plans consist of a head cam N20 car but who knows with me so post your opinions please!

Mike, modify your SS and buy another daily-driver bud. You have the car already, and can buy a cheaper daily-driver. Either that, or start selling stuff off the Impy and turn it into your daily driver instead? I've got a nice Amigo for sale <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

If that's how you feel, and you can afford it then you should get one. I don't share your opinion though. I'm not much of a Vette fan, I like the appearance of F-bodies MUCH better <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

I found a really sweet BLack 99 hardtop with 26000 mles on it and a very good price!

It would be cheaper, and more reliable to build a 10-second F-body than a Corvette. Just the labor alone on C5s is usually much higher, and they do not have any stronger aftermarket rearends available.

I'd never turn a nice C5 into a drag car. Maybe a badass motor and some pimpin' wheels <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

I vote for an A4 C5 coupe. I've yet to see anyone do full bolt-ons on an A4 C5. Just imagine the possibilities! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

No offense Trevor, but I'd never consider buying an automatic Corvette. It better have paddle-shifters on the steering wheel as a minimum!

I would take the hit and sell both cars and get a new Z06. You get daily drivability and awesome performance together! High 11s and 30 mpg on the highway from a stock car is damn near unbelievable. If that isn't an option, I would go for the Vette.
